This empowering workshop celebrates the spirit of adolescence while introducing healthy strategies for coping with stresses and anxieties that can accompany young adulthood. Practicing Yoga postures helps nurture and strengthen the spirit and state of mind through engaging and exercising their physical body. Yoga mats and props are provided, however a journal is recommended. Each student will make their own Mala (meditation Beads) to inspire a daily meditation practice.

This workshop is honed specifically for yoga teachers looking to deepen thematic content in teaching yoga asana, and for teachers seeking to communicate core concepts in yoga alignment and philosophy through simple and powerful theming tools.
Saturdays 8:30am - 4:30pm
Taught by Jordan Hoover, this 6 week series is for beginners and those looking to learn more about meditation in the tradition of raja Yoga.
Each session will introduce participants to new skills and techniques for exploring mindfulness in daily life and experimenting with techniques in seated meditation. The intention of the workshop is to introduce participants to meditation as a meaningful tool for personal growth while offering skills for continuing a daily practice, and offering some insights into the philosophy behind Yoga and meditation.
Weekly sessions are 75 minutes in length and include short 10-15 minute guided meditations with time alotted for feedback and some group discussion. Meditation cushions, bolsters, blankets, and chairs are available for use.
