Inner Sanctum is an in-city silent meditation retreat that explores our relationship to our life as exists in present form, stripped free of future goals and desires, or the prospect of something else other than what is right now.
Focused on the niyamas - the observations (austerity, purity, contentment, self awareness, and surrender to what is) - the weekend provokes a raw focus on life as it observed in the present condition. Participants in the retreat will take a vow of silence for the weekend. Teachers and instructors will speak and guide as necessary. During the weekend, there will be daily yoga practices and long periods spent in seated meditation and self contemplation. Other exercises, including walking meditations by the river, mindful art practices, and Yoga nidra will also be featured.
